NEXT STEPS

If you’ve worked your way through the workbook well done. You’ve taken a big step. I know sometimes the questions uncover challenging things.

So be kind to yourself - give it time.

Take time to notice your emotions and limiting assumptions. The more you become aware of them the more quickly you can work through them.

I hope you have a clear plan for how to approach your next performance conversation.

BUT this guide is your first step. You might questioning your ability to lead. Perhaps you’ve been told that you are not confident or assertive enough. Perhaps you’ve forgotten who you are and want to find joy in how you lead and work.

My Leadership Inner Circles provide a safe and supportive space where you can step away from the day to day and carving out space to think and connect with other leaders to make that change. You will know you are not alone. Where you can find solutions and own them. Just like I’ve encouraged you to do for your team in this workbook.

I’d love to help you own your kind leadership approach and have the confidence to lead.

I’ve opened the doors to my next Leadership Inner Circle. I am gathering 6 leaders to journey together over 3 months.

I am taking discovery calls over the next few weeks. It is important to me to make sure that the programme is right for you, email me at [email protected] to book in a chat.

Whatever you decide, thank you for using this workbook and taking the step to have effective conversations while making everybody matter.

Take care.

Let me be your guide

I'm Emily,

I found myself struggling to have performance conversations...

I thought that I wouldn't be able to communicate effectively. I worried about what they would think and feel. I wanted to please others and be nice.

It turned out that being nice was not kind to me or kind to the people I was managing.

I realised that to lead others I needed to understand myself first.

When I realised that I was holding myself and my team back and challenged my desire to be liked everything changed.

It shifted my mindset, I started to think about how I could move forward in a way that showed care for my team and care for myself.  I created space for difficult feelings and started to trust my leadership strengths.

Everything I teach and share I have lived through myself. I've led change, managed performance and difficult work relationships. This guide will help you make a mindset shift and give you practical tips to help you create a plan and act on it.

I am an ILM Level 7 coach and Time to Think Coach. I am the best version of myself when I am facilitating spaces where everyone can truly think for themselves.
